Please read the text below carefully before you start submitting. If there are any questions feel free to send a note with the subject.

Joining

There are no restrictions for joining. Everybody who likes to join can do that. Joining requests are automatically approved. You are not committed to submit any artwork if you join, it's completely free.

Leaving

If you won't be member anymore you are free to leave at any time you want. But we would enjoy to keep featuring your artwork you already submitted.

Submitting

As a member you're allowed to submit artwork from your gallery. The group moderators may suggest artwork from none-members also. If you want to submit be sure that your work hit the level which is required. You may submit up to 2 deviations per day. For more information about the requirement read further.
What we will accept:
This group has the intention to show the best and most accurate artwork of all extinct synapsids. Your work shall show obvious use of references like skeletal reconstructions and scientific papers. Skeletal reconstructions have to be very accurate, but don't have to be complete. Life-reconstructions offer some space for imagination and speculation. But be sure that your imagination and speculation is comprehensible and scientific plausible.
Your artwork can be black and white (shaded) or colored. You must not use backgrounds or benchmarks. Traditional and digital media is accepted. And please come up with your own ideas, don't use the style of TV shows (like BBC or Primeval) or other artists.
What we won't accept:
We only accept artwork of other animals than the mentioned if they are a part of the whole image or used for comparison and the main topic is a synapsid. Don't submit scraps or WIPs, we only accept photos if the pictured subject is a 3D-artwork of own or otherwise not digitally reproducable art (e.g. a mural). Photos of museum mounts will generally not be accepted. You have to show the animal with a neutral background or a natural environment with natural behaviour, so don't put the Dimetrodon for example under a carribean coconut-palm or vest it with unlikely behaviour or anatomy.

The rules can be edited at any time by the Founder and changes are retroactive.
